Barley Saturday - Cardigan
Since the 19th Century the last Saturday in April has been a big event in Cardigan. Barley Saturday saw farmers from surrounding area come to town to hire workers and to inspect stallions that are put out to stud.
These days the horses are the centre of attention. After judging, they are paraded through the town and crowds of people line the streets to see the spectacle.....
There is also vintage machinery, cars and motorbikes as well as much more.

Lampeter Agricultural Society Show
Machines, Horses, Livestock and some of the biggest bulls I have ever seen. its all to see here at Lampeter Show.
The 1987 show marks the one hundredth Agricultural Show at Lampeter. It follows in the tradition of the Cardiganshire Agricultural Society which was first established in 1784 to promote and improve farming methods, crops and livestock in West Wales. http://www.lampetershow.co.uk/

Aberaeron Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs
A truly remarkable event showcasing every aspect of that amazing breed the Welsh pony and Cob.
Exciting events throughout the day in the square field right in the middle of Aberaeron, local produce and craft stalls line the roads and the day starts off with the local hunt and dogs leading the way.
This is a traditional local event not to be missed.

The Aberystwyth and Ceredigion County Show is an impressive annual agricultural show. This local show attracts many visitors from the surrounding areas, uniting the farming industry and local community.
A wide range of events take place from produce and poultry shows through to equestrian.
It provides excellent opportunities for local farmers, plant growers, and exhibitors, and is a fun day out that can be enjoyed by all the family.

Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival
Aberaeron is turned into a haven for seafood, with an exciting array of producers lining the harbour to show off their skills and produce with not only fish but also wine, spirits, soft fruits and meat products.
The highlight of this event however is the number of "well known" chefs from around Wales who cook in outdoor kitchens along the harbour wall.
This annual event is getting busier each year and offers a truly unique and exciting day out. Finishing with Jazz Bands on the Harbour.

National Botanic Gardens of Wales
The National Botanic Garden of Wales opened in May 2000 – making us the first national botanic garden to be created in the new millennium.
Open every day apart from Christmas Day. Sunday 30th March - Mothers Day, craft and food fair in the Great Glasshouse Free entry for mums. This Carnival just gets better and better, floats parade along the streets with a truly carnival feel to it all.
Probably one of the best carnivals in Wales with plenty of jazz from the Adamant Jazz band. Parade starts at 1:45pm from Quay Parade.
There are events and a fun fair in the square field. So come along and join in the fun.

Wales coastal path is open !!!!
870 miles in which to enjoy spectacular scenery, from soaring cliffs to golden sands. The Coast Path creates a complete path along the whole Welsh coastline and, together with the Offa’s Dyke Path, the total route extends to more than 1,000 miles.
